PDF · up to 50 MB · up to 200 pages

Your file stays in this browser.

Rebuilt pages become images. Text and interactive features may be lost.

What changes in the PDF?

When pages are rebuilt, the output does not preserve:

  • Selectable or searchable text and OCR layers
  • Interactive forms and clickable links
  • Accessibility tags and reading structure
  • Valid digital signatures

Keep your source file. These losses do not apply when the original is returned unchanged.

Scanned mode removes colour. Under 5MB, Under 10MB, Fast and Remove metadata may also use grayscale. Choose Email, Under 25MB or High Quality when colour matters, then inspect the result.

1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes. Size targets are best effort; every result shows what was achieved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my PDF leave my device?
Your PDF is read and processed locally in this browser. Its name, contents and file bytes are not uploaded for compression. The website still loads its own assets and may record general tool events; those events do not include your document.
What changes when pages are rebuilt?
Rebuilt pages are images. Selectable and searchable text, OCR layers, interactive forms and links, accessibility structure and valid digital signatures are not preserved. Resolution and image quality can also change. Keep the source PDF and check the result before sharing. These losses do not apply when the original file is returned unchanged.
What are the limits?
You can select a PDF up to 50 MB (50,000,000 bytes) and 200 pages. Page renders are limited to 16 megapixels, with a five-minute processing budget. Your device may reach its memory limit sooner. Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Cancellation takes effect when the current operation can stop.
Will the colours be preserved?
Scanned mode rebuilds pages in grayscale. Under 5MB, Under 10MB, Fast and Remove metadata may also switch to grayscale to reduce size. Email, Under 25MB and High Quality keep colour channels, but rasterisation and JPEG encoding can still change fine detail and appearance. An original returned unchanged keeps its colours and features.
Will my PDF always get smaller or reach a size target?
No. Results depend on the document. Most modes return the original unchanged if rebuilding it does not produce a smaller file. Under 5MB, Under 10MB and Under 25MB aim strictly below their decimal MB targets, but cannot guarantee them. The result tells you whether the target was met.
What does Remove metadata do?
It rebuilds the pages and removes the document-level Info dictionary and XMP metadata from the output. You receive the cleaned file even if it is larger. It does not anonymize or redact content visible on the pages.
