About Easy PDF Compressor
A small, independent project with one goal: make PDFs easier to share while processing them on your own device.
Why this tool exists
Sharing a PDF should not require uploading it to another service. Easy PDF Compressor reads and processes your file in your browser, then makes the result available for you to download.
The compression workflow does not send the PDF bytes, its filename, or its page contents to our server. The website still makes normal requests for its pages and assets; those requests are separate from your document.
Local processing
The PDF stays on your device during compression.
Free, no sign-up
No account, paywall, or email is required to use the tool.
Clear trade-offs
Review changes to size, quality, colour, and document functions.
How it works
When a file is transformed, the tool renders each page and encodes it as an image in a new PDF. That can reduce large scans or image-heavy documents, but it can also remove selectable text, OCR, interactive forms and links, accessibility structure, and valid digital signatures. Keep the original and compare the output before sharing it.
A file that already meets a target can be returned unchanged. Outside metadata removal, the original is also kept when compression brings no useful size reduction. The result tells you which outcome occurred.
Scanned converts pages to grayscale. Other modes offer different size and quality settings; the numbered targets are best effort, not guaranteed limits. Remove metadata removes document-level Info and XMP metadata from a reconstructed PDF. It does not redact or anonymize visible content.
