1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Easy PDF Compressor, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the service.
2. Service description
This website provides a browser-based PDF compression tool and related informational content. Compression runs on your device. Transformed files rebuild pages as images; the tool can also return the original unchanged when it already meets a target or when compression brings no useful size reduction. Features may change over time.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. This includes, without limitation:
- attempting to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service in unauthorized ways;
- using the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activities;
- uploading or processing content you do not have the right to use.
4. Your responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing output quality, file integrity, and legal suitability before sharing or submitting compressed files. A transformed output can lose selectable text, OCR, interactive forms and links, accessibility structure, and valid digital signatures. Keep a copy of your original document if you need those functions. Remove metadata removes document-level Info and XMP metadata; it does not guarantee anonymization, encryption, legal compliance, or formal redaction.
5. Availability and changes
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, with or without notice.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that compression results will meet a specific file-size target.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, business interruption, or lost profits arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law.
8. Third-party services
This site may use third-party providers (for analytics, ads, hosting, or infrastructure). Their services are governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in your country of residence, the courts at the operator's domicile in Switzerland have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or in connection with these terms.
